A Teacher's Prayer
By Fr. Shnork Souin, Pastor

For Youth Leaders and Staff of Youth Ministry of
Saints Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church

In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen. Lord God, Heavenly Father, give me the grace to be a humble servant in this church as I commit myself to the sacred task of Christian education. God, help me to know you more clearly, to hear and believe the words of the Holy Bible and to perceive and properly confess the orthodox teachings of the Armenian Church. Help me never to forget the beauty and importance of the children of the church. Never let me forget the wonder and trust and yearning in their eyes. Help me to remember that I am called by You to shape the lives of tomorrow's generation. And, though I am unworthy of this precious charge, give me the strength to be the best teacher and the best Christian example that I can possibly be. Give me love to overcome adversity. Give me patience to overcome trials. Give me wisdom to overcome my shortcomings. Give me faith to overcome dark hours. And, Lord, help me to love my pupils, the precious children of our church, and to remember them in my prayers at home at work and at church. Give me strength to be equal to tomorrow's task, for I depend on you alone, just as my pupils depend on me. Make me worthy to glorify You together with the Son and Holy Spirit now and always and forever, Amen.

A Parentís Prayer
By Fr. Shnork Souin, Pastor

For the Parents of
Saints Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church

In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen. Dear Father of our Lord Jesus Christ help and equip me to recognize the importance of my parental duty and to remain firm in my commitment to worship and Christian Education in partnership with the pastor, faculty and administration of Saints Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Churchís Sunday School. Lord, equip me to make every effort to assure regular attendance at Your Holy Table, being nourished in the Holy Things and to support the work of Christian education. Lord, empower me to be committed and exemplary in my own spirituality, in attending services and by becoming the best example for my child. Lord, equip me to fully cooperate and to do my best to make Christian education effective in the life of my child by encouraging faith and making prayer the center of my home life. Lord, equip me to strive for regular school attendance and attend parent functions as my schedule permits. Lord, equip me to seek the advancement of Saints Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church in all areas, and pray regularly and earnestly for the progressive good of the parish and Sunday school. Lord, equip me to support the parish and the school by offering my gifts of time, talent and treasure, in addition to dues and stewardship payments, as the Lord enables me. Lord, equip me to undertake my assigned areas of assistance, fulfilling duties and responsibilities at the school to the best of my abilities as opportunities present themselves. Lord, equip me to become a parent in Your Holy Image and to see my child in the Image of Your Holy Son, my precious Savior born of the Holy Virgin Mary. Lord God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, as a parent of a child in attendance at Saints Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Churchís Sunday School, I recognize my responsibility to strive diligently toward glorifying You in all that I do by the power of the Holy Spirit. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and always and unto the ages of ages, Amen.
